Job summary

Millennium Health is seeking a Part Time Specimen Collector in Saint George, UT. You will collect urine and oral fluid specimens, ensure proper labeling, and prepare samples for shipping to the lab.

You will serve as a liaison between clinics and our laboratory, document orders and patient information, and help resolve any specimen issues in the ordering portal. The schedule is Mon, Tue and Fri 9am–5pm with driving between facilities; a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are

Qualifications

• 6+ months of specimen-collector experience or 1+ year in the medical field preferred.
• 2+ years of customer service experience can be considered in place of medical experience.
• Must navigate a smartphone and computer.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, HiTrust and confidentiality policies preferred.
• Physical requirements listed: sitting 60%, walking 20%, standing 20%, lifting up to 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as an intermediary between the practice / clinic and the laboratory.
• Record patient information, physician order details, and pertinent laboratory information.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal.
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite.
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens (when applicable).
• Driving from/to multiple facilities may be required.
