Job summary

Millennium Health LLC in Portland, OR is hiring a Part-Time Specimen Collector to collect urine and oral fluid samples and serve as a liaison between clinics and the laboratory.

Responsibilities include processing and packaging specimens, recording patient and physician details, and ensuring HIPAA, confidentiality, and compliance standards are maintained. This role requires a valid driver’s license and reliability for local travel.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of specimen collector experience or 1+ years in medical field supporting patients.
• 2+ years of customer service can substitute medical experience.
• Ability to navigate a smartphone and computer.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• HIPAA, HiTrust, confidentiality and compliance adherence.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid (saliva) specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as intermediary between the practice / clinic and the laboratory.
• Record patient information, physician order details, and pertinent laboratory information.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal.
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite.
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens (when applicable).
• Driving from/to multiple facilities may be required.
