Job summary

Millennium Health in Delaware, OH is seeking a Part-Time Specimen Collector. This role collects urine and oral fluid specimens, processes and ships samples, and serves as the liaison between clinics and the laboratory while upholding HIPAA and privacy standards.

Ideal candidates have 6+ months in specimen collection (or 1+ year in a medical setting), 2+ years of customer service, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel to multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ year in the medical field
• 2+ years of customer service experience can be considered in place of medical experience
• Demonstrated ability to navigate a smartphone and computer
• Valid driver's license required; reliable transportation
• Familiarity with HIPAA, confidentiality and compliance policies and procedures

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens
• Process and package collections for shipping
• Serve as intermediary between the practice/clinic and the laboratory
• Record patient information, physician order details, and pertinent laboratory information
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens
• Driving to multiple facilities may be required
