Job summary

Millennium Health in Portland, OR is seeking a Part-Time Specimen Collector to join our clinical support team. You will collect urine and oral fluid specimens, process and package for shipping, and serve as the liaison between practice clinics and our laboratory.

Ideal candidates have 6+ months in specimen collection or 1+ year in medical field, strong smartphone and computer skills, valid driver's license, and a commitment to HIPAA and security standards.

Qualifications

• Experience collecting urine or oral fluid specimens is preferred.
• Ability to handle patient information with confidentiality and accuracy.
• Familiarity with billing codes or medical terminology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as intermediary between practice/clinic and laboratory.
• Record patient information and physician order details accurately.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in the portal.
• Maintain inventory of collection supplies onsite.
• Observe collection procedures for Millennium Health specimens.
• Drive between facilities as needed.
