Job summary

Hartgrove Behavioral Health System in Chicago is seeking part-time teachers to educate patients across age groups in a structured classroom setting. You will conduct ongoing educational assessments, provide instruction, and develop interventions for patients who struggle in typical classrooms.

Roles require a valid Illinois teaching certificate with preference for Special Education experience; a Bachelor's is required and a Master's is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's preferred.
• Experience teaching ED/BD children and/or adolescents preferred.
• Valid Illinois teaching certificate; Special Education certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in ongoing educational assessments of patients.
• Provides instruction to patients in the classroom setting.
• Develops special interventions for patients unable to function in the classroom.
• Assists in curriculum development and participates in treatment planning as needed.
• Maintains records and ensures a safe, sanitary classroom environment.
