Job summary

Parowan High School is seeking a Part Time Level I Special Education Paraprofessional to work 27.5 hours per week. You will support students with disabilities under the direction of the Special Education Teacher and help implement instructional activities.

Responsibilities include providing instructional support, observing behavior, aiding in learning materials presentation, and helping manage the classroom. Regular attendance is required, with some computer and email duties involved.

Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge and comfort with common software.
• Familiarity with Google Docs and checking email regularly.
• Willingness to learn new computer systems and software as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provides instructional support to students and groups to reinforce learning activities.
• Observes and records behavior; reinforces positive behavior techniques.
• Assists certified educators with presenting learning materials and exercises.
• Participates in developing and maintaining classroom management systems.
• Guides students to interact harmoniously with peers.
• Supervises students in all areas of the school.
• Maintains regular, reliable attendance and performance.
• Operates office equipment such as computers and copiers.
• Monitors students inside and outside the building during lunch hour.
• Familiar with Google Docs, checks email frequently, and is willing to learn other systems.
