Parowan High School in Utah is seeking a Part Time Level I Special Education Paraprofessional to work 27.5 hours per week. This position will remain open until filled.

The Part Time Level I Paraprofessional works under the direction of the Special Education Teacher to provide education services and support to students with disabilities. They provide instructional support to students, assist with behavior observations, materials, classroom management, and supervise students.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work 27.5 hours per week.
• Support students with disabilities under supervision.
• Strong instructional support and behavior observation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides instructional support to students and groups to reinforce learning activities.
• Assists in observing and recording behavior and reinforces appropriate behavior.

• Operates office equipment such as computers and copiers.
• Monitors students inside and outside during lunch hour.

Parowan High School is seeking a Part Time Level I Special Education Paraprofessional to work 27.5 hours per week. This position will remain open until filled.

The Part Time level I Paraprofessional works under the direction of the Special Education Teacher to provide education services and support to students with disabilities.

• Provides instructional support assistance to students and student groups to reinforce and follow up learning activity.
• Assists in observing and recording behavior patterns and follows appropriate techniques to reinforce acceptable behavior.
• Assists certified educators with the presentation of learning materials and instructional exercise.
• Participates in the development, maintenance, and carrying out of systems for classroom management.
• Guides students in working and interacting harmoniously with other students.
• Supervises students in all areas of the school.
• Regular, reliable, predictable attendance and job performance is required
• Operates various types of office equipment such as computers, copy machines, etc.
• Monitor students inside and outside of the building during lunch hour.
• Must have basic computer knowledge, be familiar with Google docs and check email frequently. Must be willing to learn and use all computer systems and software as needed.
