Job summary

Brightmont Academy is seeking a Part Time Special Education Instructor for one-to-one learning. The teacher will work with students in grades 1-12, using the provided curriculum (APEX Learning) and implementing IEP accommodations to support success.

The ideal candidate has Special Education experience, patience, empathy, and proficiency with G-Suite and an LMS. Fingerprint background checks are required and we aim to minimize outside work and grading while focusing on the individual in the

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree plus Special Education experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one instruction using the curriculum and IEP accommodations.
• Support students’ individual needs in a focused 1:1 setting.
• Manage instruction with minimal administrative tasks for the teacher.

Grades 1-12

Flexible Schedule | No Lesson Planning or Outside Work | One-to-One Instruction
$25/hour

The special education teacher would use the provided curriculum (APEX Learning) and provide the accommodations and modifications necessary based on the IEP in order for the student to be successful. The ideal candidate will have experience working in ASD, ED and/or SLD programs. We have a case manager that will handle the bulk of administrative duties, we really need someone who can focus on the individual in the classroom.
