Auberge du Soleil in Napa Valley seeks a part-time wine program specialist to elevate our wine experience. You will help develop and implement the wine program strategy and supervise service standards within wine and beverage operations.

Qualifications

  • At least two years of experience in a comparable fine dining environment.
  • Knowledge of wine, cocktail, and beer menus and the ability to service them accordingly.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Support the management team in the development and implementation of the strategic plan and vision for the wine program.
  • Provide leadership and direction in the execution and measurement of guest service standards within wine and beverage operations to ensure continued growth and profitability.
  • Maintain the integrity of the wine program through frequent quality checks of opened wines by the glass.
  • Maintain knowledge of brands and wine descriptions; bottle selections and glassware, garnishes, and prices.
  • Assist in training staff members on beverage knowledge and systems relating to the wine.
  • Attend wine and beverage tastings and seminars, when available, as part of continuing education to aid in program and personal development.
