Job summary

Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA, is seeking a part-time Assistant Softball Coach (Pitching Coach) to support our softball program. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of relevant coaching experience, CPR/AED/First Aid certification, and successful completion of the NCAA

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience coaching softball programs with pitching coaching experience.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Gmail, Sheets, Slides, Drive).
• Current CPR, AED, and first aid certification required.
• Must pass the NCAA Division III Coaches Test.
• Ability to work collegially with students, faculty, staff, and other constituencies.
• Commitment to community and belonging.
• Successful interview and background checks completed.
• Position involves working with minors; refer to safeguarding information under the link provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction, mentoring, coaching, evaluation, and guidance to student-athletes; consult with Head Coach on coaching methods.
• Schedule and organize games and meets; develop and communicate practice schedules.
• Promote academic and athletic excellence; support student-athletes academically and athletically.
• Coordinate campus visits for prospective student-athletes; maintain communications with families as directed.
• Ensure facilities and equipment are prepared for practices and games; monitor maintenance for safety.
