Job summary

West Roxbury Health & Rehabilitation Center in Boston, MA is seeking a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team. You will assess and treat residents with communication, cognitive, swallowing, and functional needs, developing individualized plans and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• CCC or CFY eligibility preferred.
• Experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans for communication, cognition, swallowing, and functional needs.
• Provide skilled speech therapy services per physician orders and professional standards.
• Implement evidenced-based interventions to improve communication and swallowing function.
• Complete timely assessments, progress notes, and documentation; monitor progress and adjust plans.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on strategies to support ongoing progress.
