Job summary

West Roxbury Health & Rehabilitation Center seeks a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to support residents with communication, cognitive, swallowing, and functional challenges within our rehabilitation team. You will evaluate residents, develop individualized treatment plans, provide evidence-based therapy, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to improve quality of life and independence.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• CCC or CFY eligibility.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop creative, individualized treatment strategies.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans based on their communication, cognitive, swallowing, and functional needs.
• Provide skilled speech therapy services in accordance with physician orders, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Implement therapeutic interventions designed to improve communication, cognition, swallowing function, and independence.
• Complete timely assessments, screenings, progress notes, and clinical documentation.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on strategies to support continued progress and success.
• Collaborate with nursing, rehabilitation professionals, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care.
