Job summary

The role requires ASHA certification, a Michigan driver’s license, and BLS/ARC within 90 days. You will work with a multidisciplinary team in a hospital setting, focusing on restoring maximal function for diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited speech therapy program.
• Master's degree is preferred for advanced practice.
• Doctorate is preferred for specialty roles.
• ASHA certification as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist is required.
• License to drive in Michigan is required.
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients to determine disability level and treatment plan.
• Provide therapy to restore maximal function and educate patients.
• Assess progress and adjust goals and methods as needed.
• Document evaluations and treatments per department standards.
• Train rehab staff and students on patient care.
• Contribute to process improvement and program development.
• Demonstrate productivity and pursue ongoing education.
