Next Generation Preparatory School in Cordova, TN is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver innovative, evidence-based services to autistic learners in a unique microschool-clinic setting.

You will assess, treat, and collaborate with educators and families, using AAC and gestalt language processing to support communication outcomes. Supervising an SLP-A and ensuring compliant practices are key aspects.

Formación

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Active state licensure and CCC-SLP preferred.
• Experience with autistic individuals and pediatric settings.
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices.
• Experience supervising SLP-As is a plus.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Experience with AAC and alternative communication methods preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Develop assessment and treatment plans based on individual needs, incorporating evidence-based practices and a neurodiversity-affirming approach.
• Provide direct speech and language therapy services using AAC and gestalt language processing.
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate communication goals into classroom environments and support transitions.
• Supervise and mentor a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLP-A).
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure regulatory/ethical compliance.
• Partner with families to provide education and carryover strategies.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to program development.
• Support diverse communication modalities and adapt therapy to meet individual needs.
