Job summary

Rivetus Rehabilitation in Saginaw, MI, is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a part-time role (up to 20 hrs/week) at our Geraitric Post-Acute facility. Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
• Licensure as required by the State of Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Conducts speech-language pathology screenings and evaluations to determine patient cognitive/communicative and/or swallowing status using standardized tests and measures.
• Develops and implements treatment plans to reach patients’ highest potential for independence in line with ASHA standards.
• Assesses effects of treatment and adjusts plans for maximum benefit.
• Supervises CFYs according to ASHA standards.
• Communicates with physicians to obtain information and integrate speech therapy with overall care.
• Maintains medical records documentation for quality and reimbursement.
• Participates in patient and family care conferences.
• Educates patients and families in treatment procedures for home programs.
• Supports quality assurance activities and agency operations.
• Promotes ongoing professional development and participates in new program development.
