Job summary

Lotus Village Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation in Sparta, NC is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team on a part-time basis. You will evaluate residents and implement individualized treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing.

You will collaborate with nursing staff and therapists, educate residents and families, document clinically, and monitor progress to support quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for SLP services in long-term care, or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and diagnose speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and provide individualized treatment plans based on residents’ needs.
• Monitor residents’ progress and adjust treatment approaches as appropriate.
• Educate residents, families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals on communication and swallowing needs.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and rehabilitation team to support quality resident care.
