Job summary

CDX Care in Palatine, IL, is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies and provide diagnostic swallowing evaluations for post-acute care facilities. You’ll collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams while delivering patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current Illinois SLP license.
• CCC-SLP preferred.
• Experience performing Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBS/MBSS) required.
• Experience evaluating and treating dysphagia in adult and geriatric populations preferred.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification, or ability to obtain certification before the start date.
• Ability to report to the Palatine office location.
• Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS).
• Analyze study results and develop evidence-based recommendations.
• Educate patients, families, and facility staff regarding swallowing disorders and management strategies.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation teams, dietary departments, and facility leadership.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical best practices.
• Represent CDX Care through professionalism, clear communication, and patient-centered clinical care.
