Job summary

CDX Care in Palatine, IL is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to perform diagnostic swallowing evaluations (MBSS) and support patient care in care facilities. The role offers collaboration with physicians, nursing, rehab teams, and dietary staff to inform treatment decisions.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology; CCC-SLP is preferred. MBSS experience is required, with potential for independent work and a flexible schedule; starting wage is $48/hour.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• CCC-SLP certification preferred.
• Experience performing Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) is required.
• Experience treating dysphagia in adults and geriatric populations preferred.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain before start date.

Responsibilities

• Perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS).
• Analyze study results and develop evidence-based recommendations.
• Educate patients, families, and facility staff regarding swallowing disorders and management strategies.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation teams, dietary departments, and facility leadership.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical best practices.
• Represent CDX Care through professionalism, clear communication, and patient-centered clinical care.
