Job summary

Nevada State University invites applications for adjunct faculty in the Speech Pathology Program. Open pool for in-person, online or hybrid courses; 1–3 credits each. Clinical supervision is available at the on-campus clinic and RiteCare in downtown Las Vegas.

Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and ASHA CCCs; teaching experience is preferred and U.S. work eligibility is required. Commitment to inclusive excellence and mentoring of students is valued.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Speech-Language & Hearing Sciences or closely-related field.
• Active Certificate of Clinical Competence - ASHA CCCs.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Evidence of a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring undergraduate and/or graduate students.

Responsibilities

• Effectively communicate content using authentic examples and multi-modal instruction.
• Scaffold instruction with prompts and cues and a variety of resources to teach classes.
• Present content online and in person and assess students’ progress and effectiveness.
• Demonstrate commitment to planning and preparation of courses.
• Practicum supervisors must prepare observation reports that drive action for students.
