Job summary

Intermountain Health in Provo, Utah is seeking a part-time Simulation Specialist to advance technology-driven simulation experiences, supporting learning and operational excellence. You will operate and maintain simulators, assist faculty, and manage multimedia systems across Intermountain Health sites.

The role requires at least two years in clinical/technical environments, experience with AV equipment, data visualization tools, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in clinical or technical environments.
• Experience working with and troubleshooting audio visual or clinical equipment.
• Experience planning, participating in, and managing a variety of data visualization tools.
• Experience working with basic computer programs including word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding job assignments and sensitive issues.
• Ability to express technical information clearly and simply to non-technical persons.
• Ability to learn new software and hardware quickly and independently.

Responsibilities

• Design, operation, or maintenance of tools within BI and data visualization platforms to build and manage surveys and databases.
• Provision, install, program, configure, operate, and maintain system hardware, software, and related infrastructure.
• Support simulation technologies for clinical skills improvement and research to enable patient safety.
• Operate simulators by running scenarios with faculty instructors.
• Ensure facility and equipment are organized and in place; provide technical support for multimedia systems and equipment.
• Maintain confidentiality and adherence to consortium standards for security and performance.
• Lead technology education for staff, faculty, and learners; travel to support center-based and in-situ simulations.
