Job summary

The University of Utah CON Simulation Center is seeking a Simulation Technology Specialist to support healthcare simulation technologies, including AV setup, manikin operation, moulage, video capture, and scenario playback. You will independently manage simulation rooms, equipment, and recording for educational activities.

This role supports interdisciplinary learning, may involve cross‑site work on the Health Sciences campus, and requires flexibility including evenings and weekends when needed.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience in information technology, medical technology, or medical simulation.
• Ability to absorb technical details of new technologies and work with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills; customer service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Set up simulation events including equipment, manikins, moulage, and video systems.
• Provide first-line technical support for multimedia systems and equipment operation.
• Clean-up and reset simulation rooms and stock supplies between scenarios.
• Assist facilitators with multimedia systems and other logistics for simulations and OSCEs.
• Attend regular team meetings and complete assigned projects on time.
