Job summary

The City of Midwest City is seeking a Part Time Computer Technician in the IT Department. You will install and troubleshoot computer hardware and software, support city staff via the IT work request system, and participate in projects as assigned.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and A+ certification; a valid Oklahoma driver license and basic software skills are required. Starting pay is $16.30 per hour, with no benefits, and the position may require evening/weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provides IT support for city staff, including hardware and software installations, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Coordinates installations and upgrades with departments.
• Document installation processes and maintain inventory.
• Assist with procurement and vendor coordination.
• Operate and maintain CCTV and network infrastructure as needed.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will perform functions related to computer system support to include computer hardware and software installation, troubleshooting, and repair. In addition, you will facilitate the needs of all city employees by completing requests submitted through the IT work request system and assigned projects or to a project team.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school graduate with A+ certification or equivalent experience required
