Job summary

New Waterloo is hiring a part-time server in Austin, TX. The role focuses on taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining exceptional hospitality.

You will ensure accurate billing, food presentation, and adherence to safety and liquor laws while supporting guests with dietary needs and preferences. We seek candidates with at least 6 months in hospitality, basic English, and comfort with POS systems; state-issued food handling certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• State-issued food handling and beverage certifications as required.
• 6+ months of related hospitality experience.
• Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to speak before guests and groups; read/write English.
• Navigate computer and POS systems effectively.

Responsibilities

• Take food and beverage orders, enter into POS, and send to kitchen.
• Serve food and beverages; prepare and garnish as needed.
• Adhere to liquor laws and verify ages for alcohol.
• Maintain table settings and stock service areas.
• Handle guest requests and communicate delays to guests.
