Job summary

Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club, located in Coral Gables, FL, is seeking a Part-Time Server to join Troon’s hospitality team. The role involves greeting guests, describing daily specials, taking orders, delivering meals, and ensuring guest satisfaction in a fast-paced setting.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED (or 1–3 months related experience). Training in Food Safety, Alcohol Awareness, and a valid driver’s license are preferred. Prior POS knowledge is advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Food Safety and Sanitation Training.
• Alcohol Awareness Training.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
• Knowledge of POS system.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide immediate attention upon seating.
• Describe daily specials to guests and answer menu questions.
• Take food and beverage orders and deliver promptly after preparation.
• Follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction and handle needs.
• Replenish items and maintain organized workstation.
• Attend pre-shift meetings and taste tests; practice tray service.
• Cross-train in bartending service and follow POS procedures.
• Handle checks and cash transactions accurately.
• Adhere to safety practices and maintain reliable attendance.
• Perform additional duties as required.
