Job summary

Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club in Coral Gables, FL is seeking a Part-Time Server to join our hospitality team. You will greet guests, describe daily specials, and take orders with accuracy while delivering meals promptly and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and some related experience. Training in Food Safety, Alcohol awareness, and a valid driver’s license are preferred. Competitive benefits are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, or 1–3 months related experience or training, or equivalent.
• Experience with food & beverage service is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and seat them, describe daily specials, and answer menu questions.
• Take and deliver food and beverage orders accurately and promptly.
• Ensure guest satisfaction with attentive service and follow-up.
• Maintain clean workstation and assist with side work as needed.
• Operate POS system and handle checks and cash transactions.

Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club, located in Coral Gables, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Part-Time Server! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast‑paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part ofTroon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

• Provides immediate attention to all guests upon seating.
• Describes specials of the day to the guests.
• Answers questions regarding any menu item and offers suggestions of menu items when appropriate.
• Takes food and beverage orders from guests and delivers food to guests promptly after preparation.
• Follows-up with guest to ensure satisfaction.
• Replenishes items as needed.
• Participates in pre-shift meetings and taste tests.
• Maintains organized workstation and side work duties.
• Accountable for checks and cash transactions.
• Utilizes Point of Sales System.
• Follows established systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders.
• Follows established standards for greeting, cocktail service, food delivery, and general service techniques.
• Practices tray service for all food and beverage service.
• Position requires to be cross trained in bartending service.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates/Licenses:

• Food Safety and Sanitation Training and Alcohol Awareness Training.
• Valid Driver's License.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:

• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties.
• Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
• Knowledge of POS system.
