Job summary

Resort Lifestyle Communities (RLC) in South Carolina is seeking a Part-Time Server to create meaningful dining experiences for residents within a collaborative, care-driven team. You’ll help with casual dining, greet tables, take orders, and serve a full range of courses in a warm, resort-style setting.

The role emphasizes serving with heart, attention to residents’ needs, and maintaining a clean, welcoming dining environment. Previous work isn’t required, and flexibility with shifts is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• No previous work experience is required.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English with residents, guests, and employees.
• Ability to secure required food handler permits as required by local ordinances within two weeks of hire.
• State regulations may require certain applicants to obtain a work permit before beginning employment. The Community Manager will provide guidance on necessary steps.

Responsibilities

• Enhance the dining experience by assisting residents in Casual Dining by carrying trays, offering beverages, and proactively meeting service needs.
• Create memorable moments in Fine Dining by warmly greeting tables, guiding residents through menu selections, accurately taking orders, and serving a full range of courses.
• Keep the dining room looking its best by clearing and resetting tables, handling dishes, refilling water carafes, and setting tables before meals.
• Help keep things clean and organized by vacuuming carpets, cleaning the salad bar, and completing other cleaning tasks as needed.
• Deliver room service meals and pick up trays with a friendly, positive attitude.
• Listen and respond kindly to resident comments or concerns and share feedback with a manager or supervisor when needed.
• Jump in and help where needed by completing support work and other tasks assigned by supervisors or managers.
