Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts is seeking a courteous server to provide guests with exceptional service in our Atlanta restaurant. You will greet guests, take and relay orders, and ensure accurate delivery with condiments and attentive table care.

The role emphasizes professionalism, teamwork, knowledge of food and beverage service, and the ability to promote menu items while adhering to alcohol service laws. A positive, guest-focused attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
• Team player willing to pitch in and help coworkers.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings, service ware and menu items.
• Ability to remember, recite and promote menu items.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Operate beverage and toast equipment.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, customers, and patrons.
• Operate a keyboard and learn POS procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication; adapt style for different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
• Greet guests and explain specials/promotions.
• Record order details and repeat for accuracy.
• Input orders into POS for kitchen.
• Deliver orders with condiments and confirm accuracy.
• Abide by state, federal and corporate rules on serving alcohol.
• Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction.
• Market and serve desserts or specialty coffees as requested.
• Use POS to pre-check orders and close checks.
• Present the check promptly.
• Attend regularly and be available to work.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
