Job summary

Wood Dale Park District is seeking a Part-Time Adult Trip Driver/Chaperone to safely transport and supervise adult and senior participants on trips. You will operate a 15-passenger bus, supervise activities, and maintain trip records under the Recreation Supervisor.

Hours vary with scheduled trips and locations. The role requires a high school diploma, a valid IL driver license, and First Aid/CPR/AED certification (or ability to obtain soon after hire).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification required or obtainable shortly after hire.
• Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid Illinois driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Chaperone trips as scheduled.
• Drive a 15-passenger bus as scheduled or needed.
• Maintain attendance records and required documentation.
• Assist Recreation Supervisor in evaluating trips and programs.
• Establish and maintain good relationships with participants and co-workers.
• Assist participants on/off the vehicle and to program locations as needed.
• Complete vehicle inspections and trip logs.
• Provide excellent customer service following Park District standards.
