Job summary

Township of Schaumburg is seeking a Bus Driver to transport older adults and individuals with disabilities to medical and personal appointments. You will operate a mixed fleet, use Ecolane software and a tablet, and maintain safety and professional service throughout the day.

The role requires CDL with passenger endorsement, a DOT medical card, and the ability to lift and assist passengers. Part-time shifts and potential evenings or weekends may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid CDL with passenger endorsement and DOT medical card.
• Experience with transportation software and tablets is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to appointments and Township trips.
• Follow routes using GPS and the Ecolane tablet.
• Assist passengers boarding/exiting, including wheelchairs and oxygen tanks.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and daily inspection records.
• Provide courteous customer service and professional conduct.
