Job summary

Distinctive Living in Fanwood, New Jersey, is seeking a Part-Time Housekeeper for its Mira Vie at Fanwood Community. The schedule is Wednesday, Friday, and every other Saturday, 8am–4pm.

The role covers apartment cleaning, laundry, and common-area care, with bedding changes, floor and carpet cleaning, and strict adherence to safety standards. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401k and life insurance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of cleaning/housekeeping experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to communicate verbally in person and over the phone.

Responsibilities

• Visit residences to perform basic apartment cleaning of bathrooms and floors, including dusting, vacuuming, bedding changes, and bathroom sanitation.
• Change residents' bedding and linens weekly; manage linen inventory and washing schedules.
• Interact with residents in a friendly manner and communicate health concerns to management.
• Maintain cleanliness of all common areas including entryways, corridors, and dining spaces.
• Perform floor cleaning, carpet care, and safety sign setup and removal.
• Clean public restrooms and surfaces, ensuring sanitation and lack of water marks.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely and follow labeling procedures.
• Attend trainings and in-service classes as scheduled.
• Respond to resident emergencies following established protocols and assist with safety and disaster activities.
