Job summary

Brookside Healthcare Center in Cincinnati, OH seeks a part-time Activities Assistant to join our team. The role involves leading resident activities, both one-to-one and in groups, and ensuring a supportive, safe environment for seniors.

Hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm; pay ranges from $12 to $15 per hour. Prior healthcare experience is preferred, with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for engaging residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 year of healthcare-related work or life experience preferred.
• Ability to make independent decisions when needed.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families and staff.
• Ability to plan, organize and conduct activities; basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Lead one-to-one and group activities on/off assigned unit(s) and in the community.
• Provide supplies and equipment for residents to participate in activities.
• Assist with planning, coordinating, and evaluating activities.
• Decorate for holidays, outings and events as assigned.
• Escort residents to activities and document participation.
• Support residents with behavioral follow-ups and interventions.
