Job summary

City of Liberty, MO is seeking a Part Time Silver Center Assistant to support daily Senior Center activities for adults 60+. The role includes preparing the Center, serving meals, and engaging with citizens to ensure a positive experience.

Responsibilities include managing program prep, assisting in events, and maintaining a clean, organized facility. Lift heavy items as needed and follow safety protocols in the Parks and Recreation Department.

Qualifications

• One year of experience working with senior citizens preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Possession or ability to obtain First Aid, Food Handlers, and CPR certifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the Senior Center for daily programs, including coffee, setting tables, and preheating ovens.
• Serve meals and ensure proper food temperature; wash and inventory food.
• Greet and assist participants; handle inquiries and maintain positive customer interactions.
