Job summary

Good Samaritan Society is seeking a Part-time Food Service Worker at the Holstein, IA facility. This role prepares and serves meals for patients and staff, following menus and dietary requirements while upholding strict sanitation and HACCP standards.

The position requires the ability to work in a dynamic environment, read and follow recipes, and operate kitchen equipment. On-the-job training is provided, with benefits for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Serv Safe may be required depending on location.
• Basic Life Support may be required depending upon location.
• Valid Driver's License may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, assembles baked goods, cooks, seasons and portions food for patients/residents, staff, and visitors.
• Adheres to menu and dietary guidelines; maintains food quality, appearance and sanitation.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment; follows HACCP guidelines and records temperatures and outcomes.
• Communicates effectively with internal customers and works as part of a team.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and move around the facility to deliver meals.
