The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred experience in long-term care. You will work Saturdays and Sundays, 8:30am to 4:30pm, and help develop monthly calendars and activity plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Experience in recreation activities is strongly preferred.
• Preferred experience in long-term care or geriatric programs.
• Strong communication, written, organizational and conflict management skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute activities tailored to the dementia population, including small groups, one-on-one sessions, and sensory stimulation.
• Develop and implement group and individual activities addressing cognitive, physical, social, and artistic needs.
• Assist in creating written plans of care for participants' activities program.
• Contribute to the development of the monthly calendar.
• Monitor inventory of recreation therapy supplies and equipment.
