Job summary

Northwest Specialty is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused RN to join the IR / Special Procedures team in Idaho. The Sedation Nurse will provide care, monitor for conscious sedation, and support perioperative services as part of a team. This part-time role requires an Idaho RN license and ACLS/BLS credentials with relevant experience.

The position emphasizes patient assessment, safety, and education while maintaining compliance with Joint Commission standards and organization policies.

Qualifications

• 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Idaho.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of employment.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment and ensure safe, efficient patient care.
• Start IVs, administer pre-operative meds, and explain procedures.
• Monitor vital signs and assess during and after anesthesia.
• Provide patient and family education tailored to the case.
• Assist CRNA and participate in pre-operative nerve blocks when needed.
