Allied Universal in Richmond, VA is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide access control, customer service, and safety at the site.

This role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts via our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings while gaining hands-on experience.

Candidates should be at least 18, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be comfortable using a computer; a guard card/license and CPR/First Aid are preferred.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site‑specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor registrations, and authorization requirements before allowing entry to designated areas.
• Operate access control systems, maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs, issue and collect access badges, and report access discrepancies according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access‑related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, common areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
