Allied Universal in Richmond, VA is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide dependable, flexible coverage at a designated site. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Background check required by law.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Drug screen required.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, and entrances.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials as directed by site procedures.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Patrol Accountability in Richmond, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and help support authorized access to designated areas.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
