Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Screening Officer in Lenexa, KS to provide customer service while screening visitors and monitoring access points. You will help maintain a welcoming environment and support security protocols for a technology, media, and telecommunications site.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific procedures and access-screening protocols.
• Screen personnel and authorized items entering designated areas using established procedures, reporting prohibited, suspicious, or unauthorized items and activity to appropriate site contacts.
• Verify identification, credentials, visitor authorization, and delivery documentation in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and the surrounding business perimeter, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns.
