Job summary

Allied Universal in Kansas City, KS is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer (Screening Triage) to welcome employees and visitors, screen individuals and materials, and maintain safe access points at a high‑tech location.

You will provide professional customer service, verify identifications, report security concerns, and participate in emergency procedures while supporting a teamwork‑oriented, people-first culture.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation and drug screen as required by policy.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state and locality.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a high-traffic technology, media, and telecommunications location while carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and materials entering the location in accordance with access-control requirements and screening protocols.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for entry; direct individuals to check-in points and report access concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and follow emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
