Job summary

Allied Universal, Kansas City, KS, is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time to provide customer-focused access screening at a technology and telecommunications site. The role offers fixed shifts with optional additional shifts via a scheduling platform, enabling earnings growth while maintaining a part-time schedule.

Pay rate is $19.17 per hour, with responsibilities including screening, access verification, incident response, and regular patrols.

Qualifications

• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access screening procedures and policies.
• Screen individuals and personal belongings using screening equipment and document prohibited or unauthorized items as required.
• Verify identification, visitor authorization, and delivery credentials before permitting access to controlled areas, while maintaining accurate visitor and access records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, escalating to site contacts or leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas and entrances to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.
