Job summary

Allied Universal in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Part Time Security Officer – Entrance Screening. You will safeguard clients by monitoring access points, screening people and items, and reporting security concerns with exceptional customer service and clear communication. Flexible shifts and diverse industries offer growth.

Position type is Part Time with a schedule that includes evening shifts. Pay rate is $17.22 per hour, with tools and training to help you succeed in a dynamic, team-oriented

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation and drug screen as required by law.
• Valid driver's license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and property entering or leaving the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established procedures.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct inspections of bags, parcels, and other items as authorized, reporting prohibited or suspicious items through established channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate observations to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, access points, loading zones, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
