Job summary

Allied Universal in Madison, WI is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to deter security incidents, engage with tenants and visitors, and maintain a secure retail environment. You will patrol and monitor access points, respond to incidents, and document activities according to site procedures.

Minimum requirements include 18+ years for unarmed roles, a high school diploma, and background/drug screening as applicable.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.

• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the retail property, including common areas and parking, to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious behavior and policy violations per site procedures.
• Complete incident reports and daily logs, communicating with property management and Allied Universal leadership.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, and staff. Pay Rate: $20.60 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Friday: 11:00AM-07:00 PM

Saturday: 11:00AM-07:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within the location, reporting suspicious behavior, property concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation while communicating professionally with property management and Allied Universal leadership.Minimum Requirements:
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
