Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Madison, WI. You will perform unarmed patrols at a busy retail location, conduct driving and foot patrols, and provide strong customer service while maintaining security procedures.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, age 18+, and a background check. Schedule includes multiple shifts with a pay rate of $20.60 per hour.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with at least one year of driving history.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly, documenting observations for site contacts and responders.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of storefronts, common areas, parking areas, and exterior perimeter.
• Monitor entrances/exits and assist with access control and policy compliance during business hours.
• Support loss prevention and report hazards or maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $20.60 / Hour

Candidates MUST have a valid driver’s license with at least one year of driving history

Job Schedule:

Tuesday-Thursday: 06:00AM-2:00PM

Friday: 11:00AM-07:00PM

Saturday: 12:00PM-08:00PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing details with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout storefronts, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, assisting with access control, crowd awareness, and policy compliance during business hours and/or special events.
• Support loss prevention and property protection efforts by reporting suspicious behavior, customer concerns, hazards, and/or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
