Job summary

Allied Universal, Goleta, CA, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Patrol to safeguard clients across Tech/Media/Telecom facilities. You will patrol, deter incidents, and support access control with a customer-facing approach. The role offers flexible day/evening shifts and requires strong communication and reliability.

Pay rate is $23.50 per hour. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, background check, and ability to work 18+ years old for unarmed positions.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, production or technical areas, parking facilities, entry points, and surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify authorized entry per site procedures; report unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and follow escalation protocols.
• Prepare clear activity and incident reports and help deter unauthorized activity with a professional presence.
