Allied Universal, Goleta, CA, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Patrol to safeguard clients across Tech/Media/Telecom facilities. • Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify authorized entry per site procedures; report unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and follow escalation protocols.
• Prepare clear activity and incident reports and help deter unauthorized activity with a professional presence.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or guests at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, production or technical areas, parking facilities, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter, with working conditions varying by location.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, and report unusual activity or access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports, communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership, and help to deter unauthorized activity through a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
