Allied Universal in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Engagement to provide reliable, site-specific coverage with flexible hours. Earn more by taking extra shifts through our scheduling platform, with a fixed anchor shift and a six-month commitment.

Pay rate: $18.87 per hour. This role offers part-time hours, with potential to scale up to 40 hours per week and grow toward full time, while delivering professional security services in a school environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• A guard card or license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and families according to site procedures and safety policies.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances in a calm, professional manner and follow reporting/escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, direct guests, report suspicious activity and policy violations.
• Complete accurate activity logs and incident reports while maintaining a professional presence in a government education environment.
