Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer in Burlington, NJ, to provide customer service and security duties at a technology‑focused site. You will conduct patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents while maintaining logs and professional communication with site personnel and leadership.

The role requires 18+ years of age, high school diploma or equivalent, and preference for CPR/First Aid certification, guard license, and alarm panel experience.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology‑focused location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, office areas, parking facilities, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and access‑control concerns.
• Monitor access points and support visitor, contractor, and vendor entry procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff information while communicating professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
