Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer in Herndon, VA. You will patrol unarmed, deter security incidents, and provide excellent customer service. An active DoD Secret clearance is required; shifts include daytime and late-night hours.

Pay rate is $24.02 per hour with a focus on safety, compliance, and reliable performance. Background checks and drug screening are standard as part of employment, and drivers may be needed for driving roles.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and follow post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access control points and verify authorized entry per site procedures; document observations and report unusual activity.
• Complete daily activity and incident reports and communicate information to leadership and site representatives.
