Job summary

Allied Universal in Arlington, VA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for field patrol duties. This role offers flexible weekend hours and a pathway to engage in varied security tasks across client sites.

The position requires a DoD Secret Clearance and a high school diploma, with preference for CPR/First Aid certification and a security license. You will participate in incident response, patrols, and thorough documentation while supporting a welcoming environment for staff and visitors.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, grounds, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Complete required reports, logs, and incident documentation accurately and promptly.
