Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer in Rock Tavern, NY. You will serve as an unarmed patrol officer, maintaining a visible presence, supporting access control, and delivering friendly customer service within a technology and communications site.

This role requires at least one year of security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to work flexible day/evening shifts.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control or badge experience preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology and communications location by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations calmly; document observations and notify site contacts and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity and ensure policy compliance.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and delivery traffic to deter unauthorized entry and report irregular conditions.
• Complete daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs accurately while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
